Getting Started
Getting started with Micro
Introduction
Micro was designed to be lightweight and local-first, meaning it can be run entirely on your own server in just a few minutes.
Currently, we only support running a single instance right now. Support for horizontal scaling is planned for later.
Micro Cloud is coming soon
If you'd rather not host Micro yourself, a hosted version is on the way. It will offer pay-as-you-go pricing or $3 to $5 monthly plans with usage limits.
Installation
There are multiple ways you can install and setup your own Miru instance. The cards below rank the installation methods from easiest to hardest:
Docker Compose
Run Micro with Docker Compose.
Docker
Run Micro with Docker.
Nix
Run Micro on NixOS.
Manual
Build and run Micro from source.
Environment variables
Micro keeps secrets in environment variables and everything else in config.toml.
Required
Micro won't start without these.
